Quality design solution
For electric motors in axial sizes 56 to 112, the frame is made of aluminum, but from variants 132 to 160, gray cast iron, an alloy of iron and carbon, serves as the frame of electric motors. Thanks to the flake graphite, such a frame has an extremely high compressive strength and is ideal for use in low-stress sliding bearings. The frame made of this material is also standard for motors from the axial size of 180. The terminal boxes are always made of metal.
Motors from axial size 160 and above are equipped as standard with measuring PTC thermistors in the winding and bearings of the 63xx series on the drive side. Smaller motors have 62xx series bearings. For motors up to size 250, the motor bearings are permanently lubricated, from size 280 they are already equipped with their own lubricators. Thanks to this, the engine runs smoothly and is permanently monitored.
